VOTING UNDERWAY IN MAZABUKA CENTRAL WITH LONG QUEUES
Voting has started in Mazabuka Central Constituency with long queues characterizing the exercise.
A check by a Byta FM News crew at Kaonga Primary School Polling Stations 1 and 2 found several voters already in queues.
Kaonga Primary School Polling Station 2 Presiding Officer, Precious Ng’andu, declared the polling station officially open at 06:00 hours.
Some of the voters spoken to expressed hope for a peaceful election.
Mazabuka Central Constituency has 61,781 registered voters. Five candidates are contesting the Mazabuka Central Parliamentary seat.
Consisting of UPND’s Vincent Lilanda, Independent Candidate Gary Nkombo, Independent Candidate Alfred Hankede, Playson Hachintu, and Socialist Party’s Denwid Masumba.
