RUSSIA LAUNCHES MISSILES AND 202 DRONES ACROSS UKRAINE — DEADLY STRIKES HIT KHARKIV, ODESA AND ZHYTOMYR
Russia launched another large-scale overnight and morning attack against Ukraine, firing missiles and 202 drones across the country. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, air defenses shot down or suppressed 174 UAVs and intercepted five Banderol loitering munitions. Missile and drone impacts were recorded at 22 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at six more. Several Russian missiles also reportedly failed to reach their intended targets, with the circumstances still being clarified.
🔵 Kharkiv region: Russia struck residential apartment buildings in Kharkiv’s Saltivskyi district this morning. Two people were killed and at least 13 others injured. The strike destroyed upper floors of a residential building, and a second strike hit a neighboring apartment block while emergency crews began working at the scene.
🔵 Odesa region: Russian missiles damaged residential buildings across several districts of Odesa, along with civilian vehicles. At least eight people have been reported injured so far.
🔵 Zhytomyr region: Russia also used jet-powered drones against the region. Civilian infrastructure, an enterprise and a private home were damaged, with casualties reported.
This was not simply another drone wave. Russia combined conventional missiles, ballistic threats, anti-ship and anti-radar weapons, jet-powered UAVs, Shahed-type drones and decoys in an attempt to complicate Ukraine’s air-defense response.
