BRIAN MUNDUBILE ACCUSES GOVT OF USING POLICE TO FRUSTRATE TONSE CAMPAIGNS
By Justina Matandiko
Tonse Pamodzi Alliance Presidential Candidate Brian Mundubile has accused government of using the police to frustrate the opposition after holding a campaign rally in Ndola despite attempts by the police to stop the event.
Mr. Mundubile has questioned why President Hakainde Hichilema is able to campaign freely while the Tonse Alliance continues to face police interference whenever it seeks to engage voters.
Addressing supporters at Twapia grounds last evening, Mr. Mundubile said police have consistently been on the alliance’s trail.
Meanwhile, alliance vice-presidential running mate Makebi Zulu alleged that police officers had been deployed to prevent the alliance from delivering its message to the people, describing the actions as an attempt to suppress the opposition’s campaign.
