ELECTORAL VICTORY IS CERTAIN FOR MUNDUBILE – SAYS MUHABI LUNGU
Muhabi Lungu, a prominent member of the Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance, provided a stark critique of President Hakainde Hichilema in a recent interview on Millennium TV, asserting that opposition leader Brian Mundubile is poised to win the upcoming elections on August 13.
He attributed this potential victory to the rising poverty, highlighted by escalating fuel and meal prices that strain everyday citizens.
Lungu portrayed Mundubile as humble and relatable, contrasting him with President Hichilema’s perceived arrogance, asserting that effective leaders should connect with the populace rather than demand fear and admiration.
He warned that arrogance can lead to a leader’s downfall, referencing examples from other African nations.
Dismissively, Lungu noted that while foreign reserves often do not translate to citizen prosperity, essential issues such as food prices remain critical.
He highlighted challenges for the UPND government, including tribalism and economic mismanagement, while praising Mundubile’s record of credibility as he promotes ideas to alleviate poverty.
Lungu criticized Hichilema’s derogatory remarks towards his opponents and urged for peace and national unity, denouncing tribalism.
He called for a strong turnout at the polls to decisively defeat the incumbent for the country to have a new trajectory.
