Kambwili should resign before endorsing another party – Citizens First

CITIZENS First presidential campaign manager Stanley M’hango has called on the former information minister Chishimba Kambwili to resign from Citizen first party following his public declaration to endorse NRPUP presidential candidate ahead of the 13 August general elections.

Kambwili who is contesting his for the Roan Constituency seat under the Citizens First and  Maxwell Chongu, who resigned from Harry Kalaba’s party recently endorsed NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile and running mate Makebi Zulu.

M’hango tolrd #Kalemba that the former political heavy weight, Kambwili’s actions are not in line with the Citizens First values and principles.

He described Kambwili’s action as a shameful act adding that it was inappropriate of him a seasoned politician to endorse another presidential candidate while remaining associated with another party.

“It is very shameful for a very elderly and seasoned politician to actually state that he has endorsed a different presidential candidate while he’s maintaining the position, the seat,” he said.

M’hango urged Kambwili to resign from the party voluntarily.

He claimed the Mundubile led alliance was still PF even with claims of rebranding and reformation, adding that Citizens First president Harry Kalaba had left them in 2017.

“As Citizens First under the president Harry Kalaba we will remain intact and we cannot go back to the rejected party in 2017,” he said.

He told Kambwili to follow Chongu’s route by resigning before endorsing another party.
