MASSIVE RALLY TURNOUT SIGNALS STRONG DESIRE FOR CHANGE

KABWE – The large crowds that attended recent Tonse Alliance rallies in Kitwe and Kabwe have been described as a clear indication of citizens’ desire for change and their willingness to actively participate in shaping Zambia’s future.

Tonse Alliance diehard supporter Benja Siwila said the turnout at both rallies was impressive, not only because of the numbers recorded but also due to the sacrifices many people made to attend.

He noted that some supporters travelled long distances, with others walking several kilometres to be part of the gatherings.

According to Mr. Siwila, the strong attendance reflected growing optimism among citizens who believe meaningful change is possible under the leadership of Tonse Alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile.

He observed that the Kabwe rally attracted thousands of people despite being held on a working day, suggesting that the turnout highlighted the challenges many Zambians are facing, including unemployment and economic hardship.

Mr. Siwila said many attendees used the occasion to express both their frustrations and aspirations for a better future.

He added that the large crowds demonstrated a readiness among citizens to play an active role in determining the country’s direction through democratic processes.

He further praised the messages delivered by Mr. Mundubile and his running mate, Makebi Zulu, particularly their commitment to preserving Zambia’s identity as a Christian nation, creating jobs and ensuring that the country’s resources benefit its people

Mr. Siwila said these commitments resonated with a broad cross-section of society, including marketeers, students, small-scale miners, business owners, youths and senior citizens.

He also commended the peaceful atmosphere that characterised both rallies, describing it as a positive sign of democratic engagement.

“The people have spoken, and their message was loud and clear,” he said.

Mr. Siwila added that the turnout reflected a population that remains hopeful, determined and eager to see positive change in the country.
