MUNDUBILE’S CALL TO REVIVE THE MINISTRY OF CHIEFS AND TRADITIONAL AFFAIRS TO STRENGTHEN TRADITIONAL LEADERSHIP SUPPORTED BY CHIEFS

In the lead-up to the upcoming August elections, the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has committed to reinstating the Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs if elected.

This promise has sparked significant attention and garnered endorsement from notable figures, including former House of Chiefs chairperson Chief Choongo.

Chief Choongo argues that without a formal ministry, traditional leaders lack effective representation and the resources needed to execute their duties efficiently.

Their shared view underscores the ministry’s potential role in addressing challenges faced by traditional leaders and enhancing their role within the modern governance framework.
