Given Lubinda has appealed to the family of former president Edgar Lungu to allow the late leader to be laid to rest, following reports that President Hakainde Hichilema will not attend the burial.
Speaking on the matter, Lubinda urged the family to bring closure to the prolonged burial process and ensure that the former president is accorded a dignified send-off.
Today marks exactly one year since former president Lungu passed away, but his burial has yet to take place amid disagreements surrounding funeral arrangements.
