ECZ Revises Ballot Paper Arrival Schedule, Assures Public of Timely Delivery
The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has announced a revision to the schedule for the transportation and arrival of ballot papers for the 2026 General Election, assuring stakeholders and the public that the change will not affect the overall delivery timeline.
In a public notice issued on 27th July 2026, the Commission explained that while the first two consignments of ballot papers had initially been scheduled to arrive in Lusaka on Tuesday, 28th July 2026, adjustments to the flight schedule have since been made.
Despite the revised flight arrangements, ECZ has assured the nation that all ballot papers will be delivered into Zambia before the end of this week, maintaining that preparations for the 2026 General Election remain on course.
The Commission further stated that it will issue another update on 28th July 2026, providing stakeholders with the revised flight schedule, including the exact day and time of arrival of the ballot paper consignments.
ECZ also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their continued cooperation, partnership, and diligent monitoring of the final stages of ballot paper packaging and transportation.
