MUNDUBILE REMOVED FROM PRESIDENTIAL BALLOT

Presidential hopeful Brian Mundubile has reportedly moved to a new political party, the NRPUP, following a fresh lawsuit filed by FDD National Youth Secretary Vincent Mwakawele  blocking the party’s March 9 convention that had adopted Mundubile as its presidential candidate.

According to sources close to the matter, Mundubile is now seeking a smoother route to the presidential ballot under the NRPUP banner, with hopes of avoiding further challenges.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has issued a statement indicating that candidates who switch political parties like Mundubile will be required to submit fresh support signatures from 1,000 supporters across all ten provinces all at once on the official nomination filing day.
