Addressing a cheering crowd, Mr Hichilema expressed gratitude for the region’s strong support and urged voters to deliver a clean sweep for all UPND candidates in the upcoming elections.
The President’s address focused heavily on the administration’s track record while acknowledging the economic challenges that still lied ahead.
Mr Hichilema emphasised a governance style rooted in empathy, stating that the UPND: “leads with love because we care.”
He highlighted national progress in free education, infrastructure development and ongoing economic recovery efforts..
Devoid of political complacency, the Head of State admitted that much more remained to be done to ensure prosperity reaches every household.
By rallying the North-Western Province, a traditional stronghold, the President aimed to lock in a legislative majority.
He argued that a unified UPND leadership from the local government level up to the presidency was vital to maintaining the momentum of national development and expanding opportunities for the youth.
