Ten people have died in an accident at Lwiili Gold Mine in Nangoma

The 10 are part of the over 30 illegal miners who were trapped after the mine collapsed on them while carrying out their illegal mining.

The mine Divine Bookers owned by Somalians have been engaging illegal miners to dig gold for them without taking into account safety measures.

Five people have been retrieved alive and are nursing serious injuries at Nangoma Hospital.

Divine Bookers is now panicking to answer questions of how the accident happened. Sources have also disclosed that they were dubiously granted a small scale mining licence.
