YOU CAN’T BE A KING IN MY KINGDOM… LITUNGA TELLS OFF CHIEF MUKUNI AS MUKUNI SAYS STAY AWAY FROM BENE MUKUNI DYNASTY.

Chief Mukuni through his lenje lawyer Hon Shakafuswa has challenged, and told off His majesty LITUNGA IMWIKO II to stay away from the issue where Mukuni wants to impose himself as a Paramount Chief using the Zambian government

Chief Mukuni says that he wants to be accorded the Paramount Chief title as he claims to be the King of Bene Mukuni.

Controversially, the BENE MUKUNI are not Tongas but Lenjes from central province where Mukuni came from. Interestingly, knowing his roots, Chief Mukuni has hired Honorable Shakafuswa -a lenje by tribe.

Mukuni is widely viewed as an imposter in Livingstone and Kazungula jurisdictions where he is a senior chief.

Recently, Mukuni claimed to be in charge of Zimba and kaloma districts of the toka people who happen to be a hybrid of Barotse and Tonga aligned groups.

The LITUNGA IMWIKO II through the BRE Lawyers are eager and ready to bring out historical facts about the existence, and the presence of Mukuni in the Livingstone area.

Historically, what people call as the MUKUNI PARK was known as the BAROTSE PARK until Mukuni and President CHILUBA changed the place to Mukuni Park.

In the 1800s when the Europeans arrived in the mosi pa tunya area, there was NO Mukuni there… and that’s the reason why the Europeans sought permission from the Barotse King and not Mukuni.

Today, 70% of Livingstonian are Barotse whilst Leyas make only a 7%.
