The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) says Zambia Police have confirmed the arrest of three artists—Moses Ng’andwe, popularly known as Chester MoPower, Felix Mangani Phiri, also known as Felix Ndangeni Inshila, and comedian Winston Ngosa, widely known as IDC Light Comedy.
ZAM President Brian Kasoka Bwembya said Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi confirmed that the trio has been charged with conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace.
Mr. Bwembya said the offence is bailable and expressed confidence that the three artists would be released soon to reunite with their families.
He added that ZAM remains committed to cooperating with law enforcement authorities while expecting the rights of the detained artists to be respected throughout the legal process.
