“I like to be brave when I play football. I don’t like going into games with a negative mindset because anything can happen on the pitch. Those 90 minutes will determine who makes it to the Olympics. Both teams have reached this round, so we have the same chance of qualifying.

We’re going to fight hard because qualifying would be an historic achievement for Moroccan and Arab women’s football, and it would make us very proud. We lost to Zambia in a couple of friendlies where we made a few mistakes, but we’re going to give our all to qualify for Paris and ensure we don’t make the same mistakes again,” said Moroccon goalkeeper Khadija Er-Rmichi.

The Atlas Lionesses reached the final of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and qualified for a maiden FIFA Women’s World Cup™ when they travelled to Australia & New Zealand 2023, turning heads as they won two of their group-stage games to reach the Round of 16.

Now, they are aiming to qualify for this year’s Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in Paris, having beaten Tunisia to reach the final round of CAF qualifying.
