WALKING FROM PRISON TO THE PRESIDENCY: AFRICA, BIBLICAL STYLE

From Prison to the Presidency. The man who this week on March 25 was announced as the new President of Senegal.

He had been in prison for 11 months. He was only freed on March 14 and 11 days the people of Senegal elevated him to be their President beating the candidate from the ruling party.

Someone has likened this to Biblical story of Joseph who walked from the Prison to become the Governor of that era.

It looks like mostly one has to undergo trials before being raised to the throne.

Back to Zambia out of the seven who have raised to the country’s presidency, seven at least at one point suffered political detention or imprisonment.

This is typical of African politics sadly even those who suffer such injustice when given the mandate continue with this abuse.
