US LECCE WINGER LAMECK BANDA AIMS TO REPLICATE CLUB FORM FOR ZAMBIA AHEAD OF AFCON FINALS

US Lecce winger Lameck Banda is determined to replicate his impressive club form for Zambia at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations finals in Ivory Coast later this month.

Speaking to FAZ media upon his arrival in the team camp in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, Banda emphasized the importance of hard work in achieving this goal.

“The biggest thing is to work hard,” Banda said. “What I do for the club, I want to bring it to the national team. The club form is very important to me.”

Looking ahead to Zambia’s group stage opponents in Group F – Morocco, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo – Banda believes every game will be crucial and refuses to underestimate any team.

“For us, the group is just okay,” he stated. “We just have to play each game as it comes. We have to work hard and not look at Morocco or any other team. We are ready to fight.”

Banda also expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of Zambian fans and urged them to continue cheering for the team during the tournament.

“They should continue to support us like they have always done and watch the tournament,” he concluded.

Zambia will begin their AFCON campaign against Democratic Republic of Congo on January 17.
