UPND MEDIA DESPERATE, MANUFACTURE FALSE COMMENTARIES AGAINST DR. SISHUWA

THE UPND’s DESPERATE CAMPAIGN TO MALIGN AND DISCREDIT DR SISHUWA SISHUWA

Yesterday, self-styled UPND Consultant Mark Simuwe deliberately created a FAKE post, attributed the same post to Dr Sishuwa Sishuwa, and then published it on his Facebook account in order to discredit and malign the historian. Soon after Simuwe created and published the same malicious post, several people reached out to Simuwe and told him to pull down the post, explaining that they have spoken to Dr Sishuwa who has confirmed that the post attributed to him is FAKE and that he has never commented anywhere on the latest corruption perception index released by Transparency International Zambia. In addition, so many people commented on the same post and asked Simuwe to either provide evidence of where Dr Sishuwa said what he was attributing to him or pull down the post since he only uses Twitter to post his thoughts.

Instead of pulling down the malicious post, Simuwe took a screenshot of it and sent it to President Hakainde Hichilema’s spokesperson Clayson Hamasaka who in turn started circulating it to his WhatsApp contacts. One of the people that Hamasaka sent the malicious post to told him that it was FAKE and advised the President’s spokesperson to stop abusing citizens that way (see attached screenshot of the conversation). Instead of advising Simuwe to delete the post and apologise to Dr Sishuwa for maligning him that way, State House kept quiet.

As of this morning, Simuwe’s post remains on his Facebook wall and State House is cheering him on. They don’t care because the person they are abusing and maligning is a government critic. This is so dirty and so cheap. The president’s supporters have sank to levels where disliking of people for their views is driving them to manufacture fake stories.

They know that Dr Sishuwa has never said the malice they have created for him anywhere. They know he can’t defend himself since he is not on Facebook. This is the social media mobocracy of HH’s supporters. They create a totally fake position for Dr Sishuwa and beat him to death on social media for it. These are the times we live in. It is even possible that State House is behind the malice using Mark Simuwe. This might help explain why Hamasaka forwarded the malicious post to many people only about 30 minutes after it was posted!! When one looks at the screenshot from Hamasaka, you can see that Simuwe himself took the shot that he sent to Hamasaka because the “Boost post “ option is only available to the creator of the post or account owner. This is truly despicable. You can criticise and even condemn Dr Sishuwa, but let it be for the things he has said, not the lies and falsehoods you create for him.

For anyone who is wondering why Simuwe, State House and the UPND are attacking Dr Sishuwa, it is because of this article.

Read it for yourself to understand why those in power are so desperate and panicking to a point of manufacturing fake stories and attributing them to an innocent person.

The article badly exposes their schemes and lays bare how the executive arm of government has captured the other state organs all in an effort to kill the PF.

Anyway, we have seen this deliberate malignment of citizens before under the MMD and later under the PF. The current president and so many people in the UPND were victims of these diabolical schemes when they were in opposition.

Today, they are deliberately maligning innocent citizens because they know nothing can happen to them. The police are under their control. Maybe even the courts. We know President Hichilema won’t say or do anything on this matter because the person at the receiving end of these vile and malicious attacks from his officials is a prominent critic of the government. That is assuming that the President is not the one sponsoring the attacks on Dr Sishuwa. If this was done to them, both Simuwe and Hamasaka would have been arrested for all manner of electronic offences. What a shame!
