UNDERPERFORMING COUNCIL PROs WILL BE FIRED – KAPATA
Government says underperforming Public Relations Officers in Local Authorities will be fired for incompetence.
Ministry of Information and Media Director Spokesperson HENRY KAPATA says Public Relation Officers in Local Authorities across the country should be proactive in communicating Government developmental projects.
Mr. KAPATA says it is unacceptable that despite various developmental projects that Government has undertaken there is little or no information being disseminated to the public.
He has said in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka that the increased Constituency Development Fund -CDF- and other developmental projects are expected to be communicated to the masses across districts in all Provinces.
Mr. KAPATA has urged Public Relations practitioners in the districts to engage both the public and private media on various Government undertakings so that the right information is made known to the public.
