Dear Chairperson,
Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation from my position as National Youth
Chairperson within the United Kwacha Alliance (UKA), effective immediately.
After careful reflection, I have concluded that the current trajectory of the UKA no longer aligns with my values and principles. The pervasive lack of direction, greed, selfishness,
partiality, and individualistic tendencies have created an environment that prioritizes personal interests over the collective good.
I specifically cite the following reasons for my resignation:
1. Lack of Clear Direction: The alliance’s vision and objectives have become increasingly ambiguous, resulting in indecision and ineffective leadership.
2. Selfish Motives: The prioritization of personal gain and internal power struggles has overshadowed our core commitment to serving the people.
3. Partiality: There is an evident inconsistency in holding leaders accountable, with some escaping scrutiny while others face undue consequences.
4. Greed and Individualism: The focus on personal agendas has fractured our unity and undermined our ability to pursue collective goals.
5. Absence of Collective Progress: The alliance has failed to address critical issues and deliver meaningful change, eroding public trust and confidence.
Given these challenges, I find it impossible to continue contributing to an organization that has strayed so far from its foundational purpose. My conscience compels me to stand firm in
my principles, even if it means stepping down from this position.
I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to serve in this role and the experiences gained during my tenure.
However, I must now prioritize my integrity and commitment to the greater public good.
I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition and will complete any outstanding tasks to facilitate continuity.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Thomas Sipalo
