Following the number of delegates President Hakainde has sent to Barotseland, and their messages, its clear that Hakainde is very crooked and not serious with the issue of Barotseland. The BRE should be careful with him. We have noted serious inconsistencies in the messages from the people sent by President Hakainde and this is of great concern to us.
Immediately President Hakainde refused the existence of Barotseland publicly and realized people were annoyed, he sent the First Delegation headed by the Director General Intelligence under the Office of the President, Mr Nyambe, to broker peace by the way of asking for dialogue. However, after BRE indicated to them that the dialogue issue is welcome but it should be directed by the resolutions made by the people, they went back to brief the President.
Secondly, He sent what was called a powered delegation which was headed by Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane and Dr Oliver Saasa. With these, President Hakainde sent them with promises of development we have never heard since 1964, but all to be done within this year. It was at this time the BRE asked them first to look at the Resolutions sent to them and then put whatever they were saying in writing for future references in an event that things don’t work out, the delegation went back and briefed the President.
Thirdly, without attending to the resolutions, the same President Hakainde has sent another delegation of MPs headed by the Speaker of the National Assembly. This time around is not talking about dialogue which he spoke when he sent the head of OP, he is not talking about development which he spoke when he Hon. Musokotwane and team, but he is talking about Constitutional amendments!
How is the mind of HH structure if we may ask those who work with him? This man must have a crooked mind and soon he will destroy even the people we trusted here in Barotseland. We are happy, Hon. Sinyinda has been saved from this man.
We hear the speaker and her team are meeting the Kuta this morning, and she has been sent to promise the BRE that soon there will be Constitutional amendments and the issue of Barotseland will be considered. How Bakwetu?
Is President Hakainde Hichilema promising to restore the Barotseland Agreement or what? Why did he talk about the dialogue at first which is now not willing to undertake? Why did he talk about development which is not attainable when he sent the Musokotwanes? More importantly, why is President Hakainde failing to respond to the Resolutions in writing but keeps on sending people with verbal messages and promises? How will the people of Barotseland believe him more especially that those closer to him are still busy attacking the people of Barotseland using Koswe and Zambian Watchdog as well as other state operatives? How is President Hakainde going to solve the issue which he believes does not exist? If he has come to his senses and believes Barotseland exists, why is he not apologizing so that we start from there?
We ask President Hakainde to be serious with this issue and engage the Litunga and the Kuta on how the dialogue can be done and who should chair the dialogue not this issue of changing delegates like diapers, and with different messages but from the same President, Sammy Hakainde Hichilema.
