South African activist Zandile Dabula has officially joined ActionSA after recently leaving the controversial anti-illegal immigration movement Operation Dudula.
ActionSA is led by former Johannesburg mayor Herman Mashaba, who founded the party in 2020.
The party has frequently faced accusations of xenophobia because of its hardline stance on undocumented immigration. However, ActionSA insists it opposes illegal immigration, not foreign nationals.
Dabula’s move is expected to fuel further debate around immigration politics in South Africa ahead of the 2026 local government elections.
