SINAZONGWE MEN SENDING WIVES TO OTHER MEN AND CASHING IN ON PAYMENTS FOR INFIDELITY
BYTA FM News has learnt that some married couples in Muziyo area of Sinazonngwe District are conniving with each other in using infidelity as a way of raising money for their households.
Headman Ndime, Gift Liwemba, tells Byta FM News that he has been receiving reports of married people sending their spouses in the hands of other partners and claim payment for infidelity on the unsuspecting individual.
Liwemba says the practice is becoming common, wondering why Traditional Leaders are quick to prescribe compensation when such cases are presented to them by the alleged victim as opposed to condemning the shameful act.
He fears that if not curbed, the vice has potential to spread sexually transmitted infections among the public.
And Nkandabbwe Ward Councilor in Sinazongwe, Charles Ntiiti, cautions that the habit is a danger to the health of the community.
Ntiiti has noted the need for sensitization in efforts to end staged infidelity stunts in Muziyo area of his Ward.
