MAN WALKS WITH INTESTINES IN HAND AFTER ALLEGEDLY BEING STABBED BY FRIEND
An 18-year-old male of Mikiloni Compound in Chingola district is currently battling for his life after being allegedly stabbed by his friend.
A video has gone viral on social media showing the man holding what appears to be his intestines as he struggles to walk.
The incident occurred on Friday, 2nd February, 2024 around 16:00 hrs at Blue Moon Bar where both the victim and suspect were allegedly drinking beer together.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer, Peacewell Mweemba explains that the suspect, Nonde Simfukwe allegedly demanded to be given beer by the victim, Joe Kanyembo.
He says when the victim refused, Simfukwe got upset and slapped Kanyembo on the mouth, and a fight later ensued where the suspect is alleged to have picked up a bottle, broke it and in the process, stabbed the victim in the Stomach causing him to sustain the alleged injuries.
The victim was rushed to Nchanga North General Hospital by members of the public.
Mr. Mweemba has described his condition as unstable, while a docket of case has been opened and an arrest made.
