Russia jammed a Royal Air Force aircraft carrying the UK Defense Secretary, — The Telegraph
The incident occurred while John Healey was returning home after visiting British soldiers in Estonia. Smartphones and laptops were unable to connect to the internet, while the pilots had to use an alternative navigation system because the aircraft’s GPS was disabled for the entire three-hour flight. Passengers, including photographers and a reporter, were informed that the Dassault Falcon 900LX could continue flying safely.
Russia is believed to be behind the incident. It remains unknown whether Healey himself was the target, but the flight route was visible on aircraft-tracking websites. The UK Ministry of Defence emphasized:
“This is irresponsible interference by Russia, but the Royal Air Force is well prepared to counter such actions.”, – the ministry stated.
