ROMA SECURITY APOLOGIZES, CONDEMNS ATTACK ON UPND CANDIDATE HON. VINCENT LILANDA

Roma Security Company, the firm that provides security services to UPND Mazabuka Central parliamentary candidate Vincent Lilanda, has apologised and condemned the attack on Mr. Lilanda.

Company Director Robert Nyumbu, who identified the suspect as Mike Moonga, not Mweemba as reported on social media, has refuted the allegation that Moonga attacked the UPND candidate because he was not paid.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nyumbu has warned residents to desist from circulating false information on social media, stating that the firm will take action against anyone bringing the company into ridicule.

He further confirmed that Mr. Lilanda has been a long-time client and has never defaulted, contrary to what is purported on social media.

He explained that Mr. Lilanda pays Roma Security on time and the security firm pays the guard.

He said his firm, in conjunction with police officers from Mazabuka Central Police Station, has instituted investigations into the matter.

According to UPND Mazabuka Central Constituency Chairperson Skinner Pasi Sialubala, Moonga has been behaving strangely in the recent past, describing the incident as a politically motivated move.

Southern Province Police Commissioner Moono Namalongo is expected to issue a statement on the matter.
