Rigathi Gachagua Claims Wicknell Chivayo Died With President William Ruto’s Over KSh1.5 Trillion.

Former Kenya Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has alleged that Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo acted as a proxy for President William Ruto and helped hold and move large amounts of foreign currency on the President’s behalf.

Speaking to clergy in Boston, Gachagua claimed that Chivayo used private planes and airstrips to collect millions of dollars in cash. He also alleged that the businessman’s death was linked to the loss of access to large sums of money, with a figure of KSh1.5 trillion now circulating in public discourse.

Chivayo and his wife, Lucy Muteke, died alongside four others in a helicopter crash in Zimbabwe on September 30.

Gachagua’s claims concern the alleged relationship between Chivayo and President Ruto, who had previously described the businessman as a “dear friend” while mourning his death.
