RELEASE MONEY FOR TAZARA WORKERS – MP
Mpika constituency Member of Parliament Robert Kapyanga has urged the government to release money for salaries of TAZARA employees.
Kapyanga says the government should also move fast to implement the recapitalization of TAZARA so as to ensure its self sustainability and even offer employment to more people, especially the youths and women in Mpika.
Kapyanga tells Byta FM Zambia that many of the youths in Mpika are unemployed and do not see the potential of TAZARA to be a solution to their unemployment status because it cannot cater even for those who are already on its payroll.
He however believes that, TAZARA can lift many local citizens out of poverty.
Kapyanga has since appealed to government to act on unpaid salaries and accelerate the recapitalization process to make the company viable and self-sustainable.
