PROPHET SHEPHERD BUSHIRI DEPLOYS REPATRIATION BUSES AS MALAWIANS LEAVE SOUTH AFRICA, SAYS MORE VEHICLES AND MEDICAL TEAMS HAVE BEEN MOBILISED TO SUPPORT THOSE CHOOSING TO RETURN HOME

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has announced that several buses have already been deployed to assist Malawian nationals in South Africa who have voluntarily chosen to return to Malawi.

According to Bushiri, the initiative was initially focused on Gauteng, but following requests from Malawian authorities, some buses were redirected to Pietermaritzburg where there is reportedly an urgent need to assist Malawians wishing to return home.

He said transport arrangements have been expanded to include medical personnel, first-aid equipment and support services aimed at ensuring that those travelling home do so safely and receive assistance throughout their journey.

Bushiri also revealed plans to increase the number of buses available for the operation, although he noted that funding and foreign exchange challenges remain obstacles to expanding the programme further.

The initiative comes as discussions around migration, community safety and the welfare of foreign nationals continue across South Africa.

 Do you think private individuals, churches and community organisations should play a bigger role in assisting migrants who want to return to their home countries?
