PRESIDENT HICHILEMA TO OPEN PARLIAMENT
President Hakainde Hichilema will officially open the 4th session of the 13th National Assembly on Friday.
This session is unique because it starts three important parliamentary meetings that will shape Zambia’s future.
Unlike in the past, this year’s budget will be reviewed by specific sectors, making the process more detailed.
The Zambian Parliament will be among the few African nations to adopt this approach, which seeks to ensure greater scrutiny and transparency.
This change means that each sector, like education or health, will have its budget closely examined by relevant committees.
