PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has offered permanent employment to female volunteer nurses at the National Cholera Centre at Lusaka’s Heroes Stadium.
President Hichilema who visited the Cholera centre said he has offered the two ladies permanent employment in the civil service due to their dedication and commitment to duty.
ZANIS reports that President Hichilema said Mary Mwanza 54 and Christine Tembo 29 could have chosen to stay at home and complain about being unemployed but instead chose to respond to the disaster.
And speaking shortly after being offered employment, Mary Mwanza, a former marketeer expressed gratitude to President Hichilema for the gesture.
Ms Mwanza encouraged young people to stay focused in Life, as her counterpart Christine Tembo, echoed similar sentiments.
