PRESIDENT HH TURNS BAROTSELAND INTO A JET PILOT TRAINING FIELD TO INTIMIDATE PEOPLE AFTER ANNOYING THEM THAT BAROTSELAND DOESN’T EXIST

Following what appears to be a scheme by Zambian Government to scare advocates of Barotseland Nationalists, President Hakainde has sent jets in Barotseland pretending they are training new jet pilots. This issue has angered many people as the jets are not only bring noise pollution in Barotseland but also instilling fear especially in those from rural areas.
Reports from rural districts like Shangombo, Mitete, Sikongo few to mention indicate that people are leaving in fear due to high level presence of military jets which they are not familiar with. Further, the said jets a flying at low range latitude thereby threatening even the safety of their pilots because they can easily hit even in ZESCO Poles. If the UPND government wanted to train the new jets pilots, best they would have done was to sensitize the community unlike doing it without any information. It is common knowledge that people are aware, all these things are just acts of intimidation.
Most people are wondering what is going on in President HH’s mind for him to start setting fighter jets to Barotseland a region that has been so supportive to his ascension to Presidency. It is also surprising that despite the support HH enjoyed from Barotseland, he could openly rubbish the issue of Barotseland to an extent where he says even the name Barotseland doesn’t exist!
However, people are just asking him to withdraw his troops from Barotseland because aspects of intimidation with not help him in any way. Intimidating or arresting people will just worsen the situation which is already bad on the ground.
