POLICE TRANSPORT JAY JAY BANDA TO CHIPATA
In the middle of the night, the police transported the embattled Member of Parliament Jay Jay Banda from Lusaka to Chipata.
According to a Facebook post, his colleague, the Nkana Member of Parliament Binwell Mpundu, confirmed the development and expressed his lament.
“THEY HAVE NOW STARTED TRANSPORTING HON JAY JAY TO CHIPATA THROUGH THE NIGHT. MWELESA, WHAT DID WE GET OURSELVES INTO? 😭 JAY, STAY PUT, BRO. GOD IS WITH YOU,” Mpundu wrote.
Jay Banda had recently suffered an abduction, and investigations into the matter remain inconclusive, despite him naming some of his alleged abductors, which include State House aides Clayson Hamasaka, Levi Ngoma, and UPND official Trevor Mwiinde.
The police have not yet informed the public of the charges being brought against Jay Banda, but information reaching us suggests that he is being arrested for some alleged old crimes.
