CHABINGA REFUTES FALSE STATEMENTS ATTRIBUTED TO HIM

Former Mafinga Member of Parliament Robert Chabinga has distanced himself from statements circulating under the headline, “They Used Us, Then Took Away the Mic,” saying the remarks were falsely attributed to him.
In a statement, Mr. Chabinga says he did not make the remarks and that they do not represent his views.
He has reaffirmed his loyalty to President Hakainde Hichilema and his support for the United Party for National Development—UPND.
Mr. Chabinga has also rejected what he describes as attempts to use his name to divide Zambians along tribal lines, calling for unity and leadership focused on improving the lives of citizens.
He has urged members of the public to disregard the report and to verify any statements attributed to him through his official communication channels.
Mr. Chabinga says his position remains clear, stressing that his loyalty to President Hichilema and support for the UPND remain firm and unchanged.
