POLICE AND UPND CADRES CAMP AT MATEBETO…..

This afternoon, 6th Republican President, Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu and Mama Esther Lungu where rumoured to have lunch at Matebeto Market in Thorn Park to celebrate the former First Lady’s Birthday.
Graphel Musamba’s command deployed 2 Land cruiser vehicles full of armed Police Officers who were later joined by UPND cadres. The presence of the police did not sit well with some shop owners who openly remarked that this behavior will quickly de-campaign the UPND faster than the tears from the Zambia Police teargas cannisters.
The UPND cadres insulted and closed one shop/restaurant near the main toilet at the market. The cadres have since ordered the UPND chairman based at the market to ensure that the shop remains closed or they will come back break it down.
Yesterday panga brandishing cadres interrupted the NHP’s mandevu rally in full view of the Zambia Police. The Police simply watched them just as they did today at Matebeto.
Brandishing an assault weapon in public is a crime in Zambia. Nonetheless, that Law does not apply to the UPND cadres who are doing so freely these days.
UPND has always been brutal, the difference is that now they don’t have anyone to blame it on. The Nation will see the true UPND before 2026.
