PHIRI FAILS TO EXPLAIN ILLEGAL AMBULANCE PROCUREMENT
Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Permanent Secretary in charge of Technical Services, Nicholas Phiri has failed to explain the $13million illegal procurement of ambulances under CDF.
The PS and ZMMSA procured a pharmacy from Garden Compound to import the ambulances and refused to use Toyota Zambia.
The Public Accounts Committee(PAC) is currently hearing the $13million scandal and questioned why the procurement was illegal and the subsequent delay has occurred
