NEW YEAR BABIES NAMED HAKAINDE, MUTINTA
MONZE Town Council Chairperson, Powell Mutenguna, has named two babies born on 1st January, 2024 as Hakainde and Mutinta, being the President and the First Lady.
This was part of his visit to Monze Mission Hospital where he named four out of seven new babies born between midnight and 08:00 hours, whilst also handing out baby hampers to the mothers.
And speaking in an interview at the event, Mutenguna said the gesture was out of good will to enable the new mothers have accessories to use when discharged.
He further expressed happiness that the mothers delivered safely without any complications.
One of the mothers, Florida Cheelo, thanked the Council Chairperson for having them in mind, stating that it is exciting to receive a gift when least expected.
