NDOLA BASED FEMALE TIKTOK CONTENT CREATOR ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED HARASSMENT
Police in Ndola have arrested 24-year-old content creator Natasha Nambeya, popularly known as Nana Babe on TikTok, in connection with a case of alleged harassment through electronic communication.
Nambeya, of Mushili Bonano, was arrested after the Truck Drivers Association of Zambia reported the matter at Masala Police Station on September 16, 2026.
Copperbelt Division Police Commissioner Rae Hamoonga said the complaint was lodged by 34-year-old Prince Kasongo, a trustee of the association.
Mr Hamoonga said Kasongo came across a TikTok post by Nambeya on September 15 containing remarks about truck drivers, including allegations that they steal fuel, receive low salaries and do not maintain proper personal hygiene, further alleging that the content caused emotional distress among members of the truck driving community.
Mr Hamoonga revealed that an investigation was launched following the report and identified the content creator as Nambeya, who was subsequently apprehended.
A docket has been opened and investigations are continuing.
Police have urged social media users and content creators to exercise responsibility when posting or sharing content online and avoid communications that may constitute offences under the law.
