MUBITA NAWA GOT 1 VOTE, BECAUSE ZAMBIA POLICE IS PERCEIVED AS ONE OF THE WORST IN THE WORLD

A police force which abducts people to appease their political masters and big guys with money, can be voted on an international forum like Interpol.

They torture and detain us for several days while they are cooking up cases against innocent citizens.

After torturing you, they flip the coin and accuse you of assaulting them (police). They mount fake roadblocks to get money from citizens.

Then Mubita Nawa dares to contest as Secretary General for Interpol, what a joke.

Anyway, Dickson Jere has given us the details of what happened below;

“Our brother and policeman, Mubita Nawa, yesterday lost the first and crucial round of votes for the Interpol top job.

For one to be Secretary General of Interpol, he or she needs to win the votes of the 13-member Executive Committee of Interpol. The winner is then taken for ratification at the bigger General Assembly.

Brazilian candidate Valdecy Urquiza got 8 votes while the British candidate Stephen kavanagh trailed with 2 votes and our candidate Nawa polled 1 ballot.

Even though the names will be submitted to the General Assembly in November, by convention and tradition, the candidate picked by the Executive Committee is automatically ratified. So, we can safely say, Brazil got it!

I am sure we have picked up lessons for future. What is important for me is that Zambia put up a candidate at the international scene. We need more Zambians to be taking part in these international elections.

Having gone through similar process not too long ago, I can attest that winning election at international stage require a lot of support from country and government as well as other countries. I am sure we have picked lessons…”
