MUBITA CHRISTOPHER NAWA: A JOURNEY OF LOYALTY AND PERSEVERANCE
Congratulations to Mr. Mubita Christopher Nawa on his adoption as the UPND Parliamentary Candidate for Mongu East Constituency in the upcoming General Elections scheduled for 13th August.
This important milestone is not only a personal achievement for Mr. Nawa, but also a recognition of his resilience, leadership, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to public service and national development.
His journey into politics is both inspiring and encouraging, especially to young people who aspire to make a meaningful contribution to society through hard work, perseverance, and dedication.
Prior to joining active politics, Mr. Mubita Christopher Nawa built a strong reputation as an entrepreneur and businessman.
For more than 20 years, he has also served as a motivational speaker and life coach, impacting and inspiring many lives through mentorship, empowerment, and personal development initiatives. Through his work, he became known as a passionate advocate for hope, discipline, resilience, and self-improvement, especially among the youth and aspiring entrepreneurs.
In 2020, Mr. Nawa officially joined the United Party for National Development (UPND) at a critical time when the party was still in opposition and facing significant political pressure and challenges. His decision to join the party was driven by his belief in the vision of President Hakainde Hichilema and his desire to contribute toward national transformation, good governance, economic recovery, and the empowerment of ordinary citizens.
Recognizing his commitment and leadership qualities, President Hakainde Hichilema appointed him in 2020 as Special Assistant to the UPND President – Special Duties. In this role, Mr. Nawa became one of the dedicated party officials who worked tirelessly during the difficult opposition years, helping mobilize support, encouraging members, and contributing to the party’s campaign efforts ahead of the 2021 General Elections.
Mr. Mubita Christopher Nawa was instrumental in the struggle that eventually led to the historic victory of UPND in 2021. He stood firm with the party during one of the most politically tense periods in Zambia’s democratic history. His dedication and active participation in defending and promoting the party’s message made him one of the committed voices pushing for change and democratic transformation.
During this difficult political period, Mr. Nawa also faced personal challenges and sacrifices. In 2021, he was arrested for the offence of Defamation of the President involving the incumbent in 2021. Despite the challenges surrounding the matter, he remained resolute, focused, and committed to the political cause he believed in. His experience became part of the broader struggles many opposition members faced during that period.
When UPND formed government after the 2021 elections, many expected Mr. Nawa to immediately receive a government appointment because of his loyalty and contribution to the party’s victory. However, despite his significant role in the struggle, he was not appointed to a government portfolio at that time. Instead, he continued serving faithfully at party level, retaining his position as Special Assistant to the UPND President – Special Duties.
What stands out most about Mr. Nawa’s journey is his humility and patience. He did not allow disappointment or delayed recognition to weaken his commitment to the party or the nation. He continued working diligently and loyally, demonstrating that leadership is not simply about positions, but about service, sacrifice, and consistency.
His adoption today as the UPND Parliamentary Candidate for Mongu East Constituency is therefore a powerful testimony that loyalty, perseverance, patience, and hard work are eventually recognized. It is also a source of encouragement to many party members and citizens who believe in serving with integrity and dedication regardless of immediate rewards.
The people of Mongu East have been presented with a candidate whose life experience spans business, leadership coaching, community empowerment, and political service. His background as an entrepreneur and mentor places him in a strong position to understand the aspirations and challenges faced by ordinary citizens, especially young people seeking opportunities for growth and economic empowerment.
As the nation prepares for the General Elections on 13th August 2026, many people are hopeful that Mr. Mubita Christopher Nawa’s leadership, vision, and commitment to service will bring positive representation and meaningful development to Mongu East Constituency.
Congratulations once again to Mr. Mubita Christopher Nawa on this well-deserved adoption. May God grant him wisdom, strength, and success as he embarks on this important journey of serving the people of Mongu East and the nation at large. His story remains a true example that perseverance, humility, courage, and loyalty always have their reward.
