MP UNHAPPY WITH FELLOWS PROMOTING TRIBALISM

By Lubona Liyanda

ITEZHI-TEZHI Member of Parliament Twaambo Mutinta is disappointed with some young Parliamentarians who are promoting tribalism in the country.

Mutinta notes that Zambians in the 2021 general elections, entrusted young representatives with the hope that a new generation would unite the country rather than divide it.

He tells Byta FM Zambia News that, some parliamentarians are focusing on insulting the President and championing tribalism instead of inspiring other young people.

Meanwhile, Minister of Community Development and Social Welfare Doreen Mwamba says the government is on the verge of amending the constitution to intensify laws against tribalism.

Representing President Hakainde Hichilema during the burial of Elizabeth Mwiimbu, sister of Home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu in Monze, MWAMBA expressed sadness with the tribal remarks that have been constantly uttered by some MPs.
