Martin Mbaya, ECL’s associate attacked again, house illegally and robbed
Lusaka- Sunday, 2nd June 2024
On 21st April, 2024, a big team of Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) forcibly picked Martin Mbaya, former president’s Lungu family associate in front of his church in full view of his fellow Congregants and family.Thereafter, his house was subjected to a thorough search from 11:00 to 01:00 and was detained and kept for five days in police custody.
This morning Mr. Martin Mbaya and family went to church, they suffered another house break in and the strange ‘thieves’ believed to be state agents raided his house and turned it upside down. It seems they were looking for something specific.
After what seemed to be a rush and hurried search, the intruders only took a laptop and a memory drives-nothing else strange enough!
Unfortunately, Martin Mbaya’s only crime is that he has been a long-time associate of former President Edgar Lungu and the state believes he is in custody with information that can implicate the Sixth President of Zambia.
