MAMBILIMA MP SUSPENDED FOR CALLING PRESIDENT HICHILEMA A LIAR

Patriotic Front Mambilima Member of Parliament Jean Chisenga has been suspended from Parliament for 30 days for calling President Hakainde Hichilema a liar.
This comes barely 48 hours after the suspension of Mporokoso Member of Parliament Brian Mundubile for 30days for breach of Parliamentary privileges and contempt of Parliament.
Ms Chisenga`s suspension follows a complaint by Muchinga Member of Parliament Emmanuel Banda against the Mambilima Member of Parliament for her conduct on Friday 15th march 2024 in which he alleged that while the president was leaving the house after his address to parliament on national values and principles, Ms Chisenga was heard telling the president that his lies are too much.
Delivering judgment in Parliament this morning, First Deputy Speaker Malungo Chisangano said Ms Chisenga`s conduct did not only show disrespect to the Head of State but also demeaned the dignity and decorum of the house and that such conduct is unacceptable.
