MALE BODY FOUND FLOATING IN NKANKA STREAM.
A community member of Chibale in Chama district, has discovered an unidentified male body floating in the Nkanka stream.
Fredrick Nyimbili, 45, reported to authorities that the grim find was made by Kelvin Silwamba, 27, who had gone to the stream to wash clothes.
According to Muchinga Police Commanding officer Paul Achiume told ISOFM news in a statement that Kelvin detected a foul smell, prompting him to investigate the source.
To his horror, he observed a lifeless body floating in the water, surrounded by flies.
Kelvin quickly sought assistance from his brother-in-law, Mkumbu Siluonde, and together they returned to the scene.
As they approached, they discerned the legs of a human being, and soon, more body parts emerged from the water.
The pair wasted no time alerting the Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU) chairman, Nyimbili Frederick, who promptly informed the Isoka police.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officers discovered the body facing downward, in an advanced state of decomposition.
