LIFE HAS BECOME TOUGH
…a reminder that the promises of those who were elected in 2021 were lies, says Dr. M’membe

Socialist Party (SP) President Dr Fred M’membe says life for Zambians has become tough reminding those in authority that the promises they made in 2021 were all lies.
Dr. M’membe says the past year has highlighted the issues Zambians are fighting against: the rising cost of living, the energy crisis, hunger, poor healthcare, tough business conditions and these vices the people have endured are a signal that the country is on the wrong path.
“As we start a new year, it is important that we take a moment to reflect on the challenging year we have endured and remind ourselves that a better tomorrow is possible. As the Socialist Party, we have made strides to explain that we can only change our fate by changing how we govern this country – imitekele. The solution does not simply lie changing leaders, but instead sharing leadership with other leaders to change the direction we are headed,” he said in his New Year Message to Zambians.
“In 2025, we call upon the Church and religious leaders, the traditional leaders, business leaders, trade unions and all other leaders of our people, to build a unified program with us, to share leadership and chart a new course for our country. We can build a hunger free Zambia, we can build a Zambia where everyone has quality healthcare, we can build a Zambias that is an industrial and economic hub of region, but it will take “US” to do it. And by us we mean Zambians united.”
He observed the need for all stakeholders to work together in developing the country.
“A Zambia where the church and religious leaders, the traditional leaders, the business leaders, the trade unions have selected representatives to councils, provincial administration and Parliament to govern with and alongside the Politicians is what we strive for to set the country back in the right direction,” he added.
“Together we will have the solutions, the integrity and the heart and soul to deliver in the interest of a better Zambia. We Wish you all a prosperous and fulfilling New Year filled with renewed energy for our shared mission.”
