KHAN IN THE HOT SEAT! Bombshell Claims Rock Madlanga Commission
The spotlight returns to the Madlanga Commission tomorrow as hearings into allegations involving Major-General Feroz Khan resume, following explosive testimony that has intensified scrutiny over senior police procurement dealings.
Last Friday’s proceedings heard damaging evidence alleging Khan played a key role in controversial procurement processes and examined his reported relationship with tobacco businessman Mohammed “Mo” Sayed. The inquiry also explored alleged links between the pair and suspended SAPS Head of Supply Chain Management, Lieutenant-General Molefe Fani, raising fresh questions about governance and accountability within the police service.
Attention will then shift to Tuesday, when businessman Vusi “Cat” Matlala is expected to give evidence. It is not yet clear whether he will appear before the commission in person or testify via video link from prison. His testimony is widely anticipated and could add another dramatic chapter to the commission’s ongoing investigation into alleged corruption and procurement irregularities.
