KBF has asked the ECZ to reschedule his nomination day to Thursday


Zambia Must Prosper wishes to clarify misleading reports suggesting that President Kelvin Fube Bwalya failed to file in his nomination today as prescribed in the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) timetable.



We wish to state categorically that President Kelvin Fube Bwalya did not fail to file his nomination. The request for Mr. Bwalya to file in his nomination on Thursday, 21st May 2026, Was formally made to the Electoral Commission of Zambia on 29th April the very day the President Paid Nomination fees.



It is important to further clarify that the official correspondence from the ECZ confirming the change of date was only made available on Sunday, 17th May 2026, after the nomination timetable had already been published.



As Zambia Must Prosper, we were fully prepared and ready to file in today. Therefore, any claims suggesting that President Kelvin Fube Bwalya failed to comply with the ECZ process are false, misleading, and malicious.



We would like to assure the nation that Mr. Kelvin Fube Bwalya will indeed turn up on Thursday, 21st May 2026, and successfully file in his nominations in accordance with the arrangements made with the Electoral Commission of Zambia.



Zambia Must Prosper leadership also wishes to encourage all members, supporters, and well-wishers across the country to remain hopeful, united, and focused on the greater vision of restoring dignity, economic opportunity, justice, and genuine leadership for all Zambians. The movement remains strong and committed to delivering a better Zambia for present and future generations.



Supporters and members are therefore encouraged to come out in large numbers on Thursday, 21st May 2026, to peacefully escort and stand in solidarity with President Kelvin Fube Bwalya during the nomination process as a clear demonstration of unity, hope, and commitment to the Zambia Must Prosper vision.

The public is urged to disregard all misinformation surrounding this matter.
