KAMPYONGO REARRESTED

Police in Chinsali have re-arrested Former Home affairs Minister, Stephen Kampyongo’s brother, Andrew Kampyongo.
This follows the decision by the Chinsali Magistrate Court to discharge him through a Nolle Prosequi in a matter he was accused of endangering the safety of an aircraft.
In this matter, it was alleged that the accused person, while attempting to disrupt a United Party for National Development (UPND) rally at Kalantekwe School grounds in 2015, endangered an aircraft that was carrying some UPND officials.
And when the matter came up for judgement, the state entered a nolle prosequi but later decided to re-arrest Mr. Kampyongo on some unknown charges.
