KALABA LAUNCHES CENTRAL PROVINCE CAMPAIGN TRAIL
Citizens First (CF) party President Harry Kalaba has launched a campaign trail in Central Province, where he is scheduled to touch areas including Katuba, Chisamba, Chibombo, Kabwe, Kapiri, Mkushi, Ngabwe, Chitambo and Serenje.
Mr Kalaba held a rally in Chibombo today and expressed disappointment that the district is heavily underdeveloped despite being near the capital city of Lusaka.
He stated that when the CF government assumes power after next month’s elections, his administration will ensure Chibombo benefits from its close proximity to the capital.

He added that the roads in the district are in a terrible state and require urgent rehabilitation to improve access for residents and businesses.
Mr Kalaba observed that the agricultural sector in Chibombo is struggling, with farmers failing to receive fertiliser and payments on time.
He noted that the district possesses abundant natural resources which have been exploited for the benefit of Lusaka while locals remain impoverished.
Speaking during the rally, Mr Kalaba advanced that a lot of people are getting sand and stones from Chibombo for building houses in Lusaka without the area seeing any meaningful development.
He said that his government will provide increased social cash transfers to support vulnerable households in the district.
Mr Kalaba affirmed that youth and women empowerment programmes will be established to create jobs and promote entrepreneurship in the area.
He added that the CF administration will invest in agricultural infrastructure to ensure farmers receive inputs and payments promptly.
Mr Kalaba also promised to improve the road network across Central Province to connect rural communities to markets and essential services.
