KAGAME DROPS THE TRUTH BOMB ON TSHISEKEDI
President Paul Kagame is not holding back anymore. He says Félix Tshisekedi did not win his seat through the will of the people but was simply handed power. This comes right after Donald Trump showered the DR Congo leader with praise calling him a wonderful and brave man. When a global superpower starts singing your praises while you sit on some of the world’s richest minerals we have to ask why.
The streets are already talking and they are remembering the words of Samora Machel. He warned us that if the West starts praising an African leader then that leader has likely betrayed his own people. Is this major mining deal for the benefit of the Congolese people or is it just another way for outsiders to control African wealth?
America does not give away such high praise for free. They look for leaders who will protect their interests and keep the resources flowing to the West. While they talk about peace agreements and democracy the reality on the ground often looks very different. Are we seeing a true leader or just another person doing the bidding of a foreign power?
